Agricultural Field Officer

Green Harvest Tanzania is seeking Agricultural Field Officers to work with smallholder farmers, provide technical training, monitor crop production, and coordinate field operations across the Southern Highlands.

Conduct regular field visits and provide technical advice to farmers

Organize and deliver training on best agricultural practices

Monitor crop production, pest control, and harvest activities

Coordinate distribution of seeds, fertilizers, and inputs

Collect and analyze field data for reporting

Facilitate access to markets for farmers

Promote sustainable farming practices

Support implementation of agricultural programs

Liaise with local government and partner organizations

Prepare field activity reports

Ensure compliance with quality standards

Assist in farmer registration and contract management

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or Crop Science

Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural extension

Strong knowledge of crop production and pest management

Experience working with smallholder farmers

Excellent communication and training skills

Ability to work in rural areas and travel extensively

Knowledge of Southern Highlands farming systems
