Electrical Technician

Tangold Mining is seeking experienced Electrical Technicians to join our team in the Lake Zone region. The successful candidates will install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, control panels, switchgear, and lighting at our mining operations.

Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems

Troubleshoot electrical faults in motors, panels, and switchgear

Perform preventive maintenance on electrical installations

Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards

Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports

Coordinate with mechanical and operations teams

Respond to electrical breakdowns promptly

Maintain spare parts inventory for electrical components

Train junior technicians and apprentices

Ensure compliance with mining safety regulations

Support new electrical installations and projects

Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial or mining electrical work

Strong knowledge of motors, control panels, and switchgear

Experience with electrical drawings and schematics

Knowledge of electrical safety standards

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in remote locations

Valid driving license will be an advantage
